Payment & Insurance

Simple, secure, and designed to keep administration easy.

Payment

I accept cash, debit, credit, and e-Transfer. Payment is collected at the beginning of each session and a receipt is emailed the same day.

Receipts

A receipt is emailed following your session after payment is received.

Extended Health

Direct billing available and receipts include my Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) registration number so you can submit them to your extended health provider for reimbursement.

Sliding-scale Support

Counselling shouldn't be out of reach because of cost. I reserve a limited number of reduced-fee sessions between $100 and $130 for youth and families where the full fee would be a genuine barrier.

  • No proof of income or paperwork required.
  • Simply mention it during your free consultation.
  • If all spaces are filled, I keep a short waitlist.
Insurance

Direct billing is available for many extended health plans

I'm a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC #19338) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. Many extended health plans include coverage for counselling provided by an RCC.

Direct billing is available for many providers. If direct billing isn't available for your plan, you'll receive a receipt immediately after your appointment to submit for reimbursement.

FAQ

Common questions about fees & payment

A few answers to questions I'm commonly asked before getting started.

Do you offer sliding-scale fees?

Yes. I reserve a limited number of reduced-fee appointments for youth and families experiencing financial hardship. If cost is a concern, please mention it during your free consultation.

Which payment methods do you accept?

I accept cash, debit, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Interac e-Transfer. Payment is collected at the beginning of each session and a receipt is emailed the same day.

Do you direct bill insurance?

Yes. Direct billing is available for Pacific Blue Cross and many other insurers. If direct billing isn't available for your plan, I'll email a receipt so you can submit it for reimbursement.

Will my insurance cover counselling?

Many extended-health plans cover Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCCs). Coverage varies by provider and plan, so it's a good idea to check your benefits before your first appointment.

What is your cancellation policy?

Appointments cancelled with more than 24 hours' notice are free of charge. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be charged the full session fee.

Can sessions be online or outdoors?

Sessions can take place in person, or as walk-and-talk counselling, depending on your preferences and what feels most comfortable. In some circumstances we arrange to do a phone call or online.

Still have questions about fit or cost?

A free 15-minute consultation is the best place to ask questions, discuss your situation, and see if we're a good fit—no pressure, no obligation.
